It’s amazing how much has changed and improved in medical science over the years. Nearly all hearing related problems can now be solved with the right treatment, supported by the right hearing aid. It’s just a matter of talking to the right audiologist to recommend the right treatment and right hearing aid.
Don’t think hearing aids are new technology. The earliest form of hearing aid was invented hundreds of years ago - in the early 1500’s precisely. Unlike what we have today, the earliest hearing aids were constructed from wood and were painstakingly make to look just like the human ears. Did they work? Nowhere near how the hearing aids of today work, but yes, they worked to a certain degree.
Have you ever heard of digital hearing aids? As you thought, this is evidence of the high technological advancement of man. Digital hearing aids are very effective and convenient and have been known to help lots of people having specific kinds of hearing problems.
If you aren’t grateful about anything, you should be grateful for the wisdom that the many scientists are blessed with. It’s their wisdom that have led to the various scientific advancement that helped them improve the […]

My wife recently had cause to have a Magnetic Resonance Imaging examination (MRI) of the head, which resulted in the detection and successful removal of a non-cancerous meningioma and I was amazed at how this testing works and how detailed it can be.Detailed MR images allow physicians to better evaluate parts of the body and certain diseases that may not be assessed adequately with other imaging methods such as x-ray, ultrasound or computed tomography (also called CT or CAT scanning).MRI stands for Magnetic Resonance Imaging and uses magnetism instead of x-rays to build a detailed picture of your head. My wife advised that it is in no way painful and the only discomfort is in the fact that you will be asked to lie very still for what will appear to you to be a long period of time, anywhere between 25 and 45 minutes. What appears to make some people apprehensive is:a) A feeling of confinement or claustrophobia.b) Normally you will be in the room all alone.c) The noises from the equipment i.e. a succession of clicks and bangs.d) Drinking a small amount of contrast material or taking an injection intravenously.None of these matters need to be a worry as […]

With global warming at the top of the agenda for most individuals and institutions fuel cells are gaining a lot of positive press with their potential to drastically reduce greenhouse emissions and save our dying planet.
There are numerous applications for this promising new technology however there are a few areas where it has the potential to change the way we conduct our daily lives massively. Transport and communications are two major industries responsible for greenhouse gas emissions seriously poisoning our atmosphere. If we could significantly diminish the amount of harmful waste these sectors give out then we would stand in good stead for a much improved o-zone layer.
As you probably know, fuel cells are our major hope for an environmentally friendly replacement resource for fossil fuels. The chemical reaction of combining hydrogen and oxygen produces water and during this process electricity is also produced which can provide power for an electric motor or any other device. The only by-product of this chemical reaction is water which of course can be reused in a multitude of more rewarding ways.
This revolutionary technology can be implemented into almost any vehicle imaginable, from family cars and commuter trains, to commercial […]
